Working-class Conservatism ... the values & common sense that built a nation are now called upon to save it
Welcome to the American Rightist, a website dedicated to ideals and values of conservatism. But not the conservative ideology that the main stream media chides on a daily basis. Rather, this site is dedicated to working class conservatism. What is "working-class conservatism?" It is the label I use to describe the values and ideals of the average, middle-class, hard working, and patriotic American.
I welcome you to join me in exploring my ideas for a better America. I welcome you to join me in my quest to take back America, to return our country to the glory that our founding fathers envisioned, and entrusted to us to preserve.
I am the rightist. I am the sleeper and I have awaken. I am a proud Conservative and I am a Republican. But it's not about being Republican, or even a Democrat. It's about being a citizen of this nation. It's about respecting our past, promising a better today, and promoting our future. It's about achieving those goals based on the tenets of our founders. It's about adhering to the principles set forth in our Constitution. It's about fighting tyranny, foreign or domestic. It's about ensuring that the next generation enjoys the same opportunities we have. It's about our government becoming too large to sustain itself without further burdening the American people.
Our government, especially under the leadership of Barack Obama and the Liberal Democrats, has become the moral and fiscal authority for the citizens and private businesses of this great nation, and in doing so, have directly affected our lives, our liberties, and our general happiness. Our government, regardless of the liberal and media spin, is moving towards a Socialist state. The agenda of Barack Obama, and his Czars, is attempting to drastically "change" this nation from the form of government our founders, and subsequent generations, spent blood and treasure to protect. Is this the "change" you voted for? Is this the "hope" you were promised?
Thomas Jefferson warned centuries ago when he stated, "a wise and frugal government, which shall have men freeto regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is good government." Jefferson went on to state that, "the democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
Perhaps Abraham Lincoln said it best: "We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing. With some the word liberty may mean for each man to do as he pleases with himself, and the product of his labor; while with others, the same word may mean for some men to do as they please with other men, and the product of the other's men's labor. Here are two, not only different, but incompatible things, called by the same name - liberty. And it follows that each of the things is, by the respective parties, called by two different and incompatible names - liberty and tyranny." 1864
I am just an average guy, with little hope of redirecting the winds of change. But I nonetheless choose to fight; to protect this nation and to be part of the discussion. Freedom of speech is perhaps our greatest liberty. I choose to use my liberty responsibly and stand up for, and ultimately with, the silent majority. One person can make a difference. Together, our united singular voices will deafen our leaders.
It is time to take back America.
